Either way works, Wayne, but downloading the actual application from the Zoom website "generally" gives a more reliable experience, and with additional features you might not get in the browser-only version. That said, the total experience is dictated by the power of your computer, your browser version, and the speed and bandwidth of your internet connection.
If you download the app, you would launch it just before the meeting.
