I had a great time this past weekend working the CQ WPX RTTY Contest with my recently lengthened end-fed wire. It grew from 73ft to 114ft and will now tune to frequencies that it didn't like very well at the shorter length. I enjoy working the "Hunt & Pounce" mode and logged 254 contacts and several countries outside the US and Canada on 15, 20,40, & 80. 15 Meters: Brazil, Canada, Chile, Dominican Republic, Uruguay 20 Meters: Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Cuba, Dominican Republic,Guatemala, Mexico, Poland, Spain, Slovak Republic 40 Meters: Italy, Spain, France 80 Meters: Cayman Islands, Cuba, Mexico Not bad for a HOA restricted antenna. RTTY is a great mode for hams looking to get started in contesting.
