That tailgate was held only two or three times at the Farm and Ranch club. The
beginning of the Greater Houston HamFest (The Mix-and-Match Swap Meet) start at
the same time around February or March of 2001 or 2002.

I went to a ham tailgate the Friday after Thanksgiving in 2001 somewhere in
the Houston area. That's where I bought my current 2M rig (Radio Shack HTX-212)
and had fun looking around. Does this tailgate still exist?

In Los Angeles , I think the third Saturday morning there was a ham flee
market. It was in the parking lot of one of the big aerospace companies just
south of LAX, Hughes maybe. The times I attended there was plenty of good junk.
I Left LA in 92 so I don't know anything current. John
