The is not the cab forward, It was designed to haul heavy freight from Omaha 
to Salt lake over some very steep grades in the Rockies.The Cab forward is a 
normal locomotives, A Norther class 4-8-4 I think that has the cab in front, 
Designed to deal with the many tunnels in California.  I have seen on in thee 
California Rail Museum at Sacramento. None are operation to my knowledge.John
