This workshop will be focused on crystal radios and presented by Tom Taylor and Lance Borden of Borden Radio Company. They will have working examples of Borden Radio Company kits to include; the Pickard Crystal Set, the Dunwoody High Performance Crystal Set, the Cornell WW-II Foxhole (razor blade) Radio, the Armstrong One Tube Radio, the Morgan Antenna Tuner, and the Bucher Wave Trap for Crystal Radios. Lance and Tom will also show the antenna kit and some of the accessory items, like headsets and open Crystal detectors. They will have a small AM transmitter and CD player to provide the signal for the radios. They will explain how each device works and will demonstrate how they interact with each other. This workshop is available for everyone, from the middle school student to the post-graduate hobbyist. There is no charge to attend. Your RSVP is always appreciated and important right now as it helps us to know if we need to schedule a second class to prevent over crowding. We may repeat the session later in the day if we get a lot of RSVPs. It would help us to have your RSVP by 1pm Friday (Sept 3). We hope to see you here!
