Volunteers are being accepted to help in the restoration of the USS Stewart and
the USS Cavalla at the GALVESTON NAVAL MUSEUM, Seawolf Park, Galveston Texas.

THE LAST OF THE EDSALL DESTROYER ESCORTS!
NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!

Spend time on vessels that saw action in WWII and served America through the
Vietnam conflict! Of the 85 EDSALL CLASS Destroyer Escorts built in Texas
shipyards during World War 2, only the USS Stewart, DE-238 remains in North
America.

SIGN UP NOW for the Nov. 7th to 13th Ship Restoration Week, and Veterans Day
ceremony, for a few days or the whole week. We have the best food in the
restoration fleet! (3 square meals per day for all volunteers), and you can
berth in an historic ship free! Your travel (auto, airline, train, bus, etc.),
meal expenses and any hotel/motel expenses are deductible as a charitable
donation on your 2021 income taxes (in 2022). ONLY 35 VOLUNTEERS CAN BE
ACCEPTED! VOLUNTEER FOR THE “ENGINE ROOM RESTO CREW”! Want to take
responsibility for a particular space? Make it yours! Talk to us!
