I think we have a tool(s) at work, but not certain until I look tomorrow.   
Also, we usually only do N connectors since we are dealing with > 1 GHz.

I just took VHF and UHF antennas off my chimney and I don't think I will ever 
do UHF (PL-239) connectors again.  Probably not LMR or 9913 foil shield either. 
 I (thought) I had good water tight connections, but water and/or humidity got 
in and made a corroded mess.  I'm going with N type from now on.

If you look up one of these connectors on digikey, there is an interesting 
video of a guy installing an N connector on LMR400 blind folded.  He doesn't 
check the connection at the end.  I would most likely get one shield hair with 
the center conductor.

I use the crimp on types from other manufactures with great success. I do have 
to solder the center conductor but the shield wire crimps on. I would the the 
microwave times connectors are just as good or better.
