Don’t overlook using a Tram through the glass antenna. I a installing one on my
car and the 2-m side is all <1.2 swr across the band.

There is also a company which sells a replacement unit for the satellite
antenna, which has the antenna connector built in. This I probably the best
solution, but a little work to install. Not hard, but you would have to drop
part of the headliner.

I got the Tram from Amazon for $22. If you go that route, get clear outdoor
silicone calk to seal the outside unit a for better holding.

I just don’t like mag mounts. I am guessing you don’t want to drill a hole in
your roof!!!
