All, I'm too excited not to share. My kids' school is one of 8 US schools chosen to make a ham radio contact with the ISS this year! I'm involved in the project with my kids' STEM teacher, Charlie Larabee, KG5QNO.
We are working on our equipment plan now. I'll probably post here again and ask/beg for loaner gear, and probably for volunteers as well, at some point. We need a primary and a backup station. ARRL has some loaner gear that I'm working on getting signed up for, but that will only cover one or the other. Anyway, just wanted to share the good news. 73! Jeff W5JEF
