Howdy All, The Harris County Area Northwest Amateur Radio Society Weekly VHF Net willbe Wednesday, February 23, 2022, on the W5NC repeaters 146.660 MHz and444.375 MHz at 8:00 pm. The 146.660 MHz repeater has very good coveragecentered in downtown Houston and is linked full-time to the 444.375 MHzrepeater located in the Spring / Klein area. The 2-meter repeater is on146.660 MHz (-600KHz transmit offset) with CTCSS of 100.0 Hz. The 70cmrepeater is on 444.375 (+5 MHz transmit offset) also with CTCSS of 100.0Hz. If you feel you have a better signal through the UHF repeater, pleasedon't hesitate to use it instead. There is also access to the two linked repeaters via EchoLink node W5NC-R. Net control will be N5EN. February 23 is “Inconvenience Yourself Day", somaybe it will be about how to practice self-awareness and how your actionsaffect people and are really important for self-growth…or something likethat.
