I wound about 75 turns onto a 2 inch coil looking for a 20 m trap. . I left the supply of wire still attached didn’t cut anything yet. Using a grid dip meter I found I was at 11 megs, then 12, then 13 and then 14 a little over about 14.2. I was removing about five turns at a time. I tried to use my analyzer to evaluate it and I found that was not worth a darn. My Millan grid that meter though just walked me right in. I’m looking for a 2040 vertical the top half is not going to be anything but a capacitor TOPHAT that will kick in for 40 m.73 Sent from the all new AOL app for iOS
