Much as I’d love to attend, I’m on temporary assignment in New Jersey for some
time. I’ll have to continue to enjoy the club from a distance. The email
reflector is a great thing, keep it going!

Subject: [BVARC] About your time...

To all of BVARC's wonderful members,

First of all, I want to thank you for being a member. By paying your dues to be
a member of BVARC you help support the club's activities and our efforts to
promote ham radio. We really appreciate you.

This club has really grown in the past year. We've begun to put on more events,
and I am always happy to see our attendance grow at these events. Your time is
incredibly valuable, and it means a lot to me for you to set aside time to
attend club events, and I understand and respect when you cannot. Attendance is
not a requirement for membership, and for those of you who are only able to
attend via Zoom when available, I'm glad we are able to use that medium to
share the experience with you.

Last night, our general meeting did not have many attendees in-person. But it
was certainly not abysmal, the estimate I heard was about 14 in-person and over
20 via Zoom. As a high-profile board member, I failed to make the meeting
in-person myself. I apologize for that. There were a lot of people who worked
hard to prepare and run the meeting. Terry K5PGF, Daphne and her crew, Mike the
club president, and many others took time out of their busy lives to be there.
They prepared a great meeting with a fantastic presentation and a lot of
delicious food. Your efforts are appreciated and I thank you.

Club Members have already reached out with positive feedback on how we might
change things to improve the experience for everyone in the future. Thank you.
Let's try to keep things positive in this club, be respectful, and have fun in
this hobby.

So now I'd like to politely ask, if you can come out, we'd love to have you at
the next BVARC POTA event. It was published in the newsletter, but if you
missed it: We'll be out at Huntsville State Park on Sunday April 23rd,
10am-5pm. I know it's a long way out, so I understand if you cannot. But if you
can, I promise I will work hard to make it yet another fun and exciting
experience.

Thank you all, and as always 73!
