I worked POTA at the Brazoria National Wildlife Refuge on 17 meters during the 
eclipse and had lots of contacts.

I have a ft891 radio running a 40 meter efhw
Normally I can receive and send on 40 and 20 meters.
During the eclipse all I heard was high noise. I could not hear anyone. 

Was I doing something wrong?
Did the eclipse screw everything up?
