Good Morning All,
I recently purchased an Icom IC-706 mkii with two issues. First issue was a missing release latch on the head, that was an easy fix with an eBay aftermarket latch. Second issue is a little more concerning. The radio will not power off when the power button is pressed. I hear an audible "click" and the radio restarts. I purchased a replacement flex cable for the head unit and tested it, the trouble still persists. Does anyone know if this is a problem with the head unit? Is the problem isolated to the internals? I have also replaced the power cable.
