The Toptek amps from DXE will do 80ish with just a few watts input. They dont
like anything over 5, great for qrp rig input. I have the one below, seems to
be robust.

Well - I need to go 5watts since I am going mobile and need save battery. But
thank you all, after looking at suggestions and looking how they work, there is
an amplifier standard chip the ht use.
Again - thank you all

Was that supposed to be 50 watts? I haven't seen any amplifiers that boost 2
or 3 watts to 5 watts. I have used Mirage amplifiers in the past and they
worked as expected. Since Mirage was taken over by MFJ they might be gone when
gone now.

To all,
I am looking for an amplifier for UHF/VHF signals. Want to go from 2 to 3
watt to 5 watt. Does anyone have experience and what did you use? Note: just
want either simple chip or simple board to go between SDR radio and antenna.
