Years ago, BVARC had a benifit of giving out lifetime memberbadges.. Although a member from the late 80s (I think) I upgraded tolifetime in the 2000s... Some time later BVARC Prez"FROSTY" (Charles Frost) came by my work and presented me with a life badge!! I didnt know about it, I didnt expect it, but I sure am proud of it...!!!
Much more recently last 5 or 6 years maybe.. The always present question about how to attract members maybe more important how to KEEP MEMBERS..Was discussed in the BVARC board of directors meetings.. Life Badges was brought up and voted in by the board...!!! No one seems to care to set up a simple routine to handle this task... Memberships come in dailyJeff verifies the payment and updates the membership record..membership status is right there!!! Jeff SHOULD call the badgeman and get that badge on the way!!! Even though this has all been approved, I think Jeff is wanting individual approval from Mike before he makes the purchase.. Or maybe we wants to wait to order 10 at a time.. Either way HE FORGETS ABOUT IT...!!!!Or somewhere it falls between the cracks so to say... Jeff works his bottom off, but I dont know what this simpletask is so hard to achive...
