The upcoming Yaesu FTX-1F has the DSP which the previous FT-817 and FT-818 did not have, and will include a lithium ion battery as opposed to the Nickel Metal Hydride battery. One unique feature is that it can tune both HF and VHF/UHF at the same time, though I'm sure it will be able to transmit on only one band at a time. 😉

My buddy just passed his General and is getting all fired up for QRP.
I can dig the low power aspect. There is often an associated low cost!

Does anyone in the club have a recommendation on a QRP transceiver?

Thanks!
