I have questions! Is there any Slim Jim experience out there??? I have built an assortment of 2 meter antennas - dipole, 1/4 wave ground plane, 3 element Yagi, J pole - they are all fabulous and work as expected.
My two Slim Jim’s have let me down. I built one with 1/2” copper pipe and one from 450 Ohm ladder line. Both ended up with crazy SWR and impedance that is all over the place. I am using community accepted sites for calculators. I have every expectation that I have fouled them both!!! Thank you, 73 Dan KJ5IZK
