On the Stir Crazy Net today, WA5JIM reported that a group of army helicopters was at Sugar Land Airport. I did some light digging to discover that Army’s 1st Cavalry had stopped in for refueling.
Reminds me of when I was living in Austin during the pandemic. The USAF T-6 Trainers would fly directly over my pad when I was sitting on the back porch eating lunch, every day around noon. They were headed from San Antonio to an area north of Fort Hood to rendezvous with other jets to practice formation flying. If youre an airplane nerd like me, I recommend the app FlightRadar24. These are two beautiful ways that I know I’m living in Texas. 73/Chris/AC5CM Typos brought to you by iPhone ________________________________________________ Brazos Valley Amateur Radio Club BVARC mailing list [email protected] http://mail.bvarc.org/mailman/listinfo/bvarc_bvarc.org Publicly available archives are available here: https://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/
