Good advice....I always tell folks to follow the words of Wayne Green, W2NSD
(sk) of 73 Magazine, who always said "To acknowledge a nut is to encourage a
nut" ....With no audience, they eventually go away to somewhere else

Heard a squirrel on the 146.94 repeater yesterday and then again this morning
about 7:10a. Both times it was a kid. Yesterday, it was a kid saying something
about a school bus and today it was dadadada.
If you hear the squirrel, do not acknowledge him. Ignore him and he will go
away.
Flip over to reverse and see if you can hear him. There are enough of us
listening that someone may be close enough to determine the area of town he is
in.
If your radio doesnt have a reverse button, you can program in 146.34 into one
of your memory channels next to your 146.94 repeater memory so you can simply
flip over.

If youre able to record the audio, send the file to Mike N5VCX.

I suspect it’s a bored kid on spring break.
