You may need to add clamp-on ferrites to all power and audio cables associated
with that radio. Your car is picking up signal when you transmit and
disrupting the electronics in the car. Try transmitting at low power and see
if you get same results. Reroute your antenna coax away from car electronics
bundles, if possible.
Also make sure your antenna coax is not running parallel to other cable
harnesses. That could allow more crosstalk. Crossing a bundle at 90degrees may
eliminate it, but you will just have to experiment.

Subject: [BVARC] Question on VHF/UHF and Honda Minivan...

To All,
Has anyone used a VHF/UHF Miniradio in a Honda Odyssey Minivan?
Everytime I try to send, the van says that I am over the line on the road.
If I just listen, there is no issue.

BEFORE YOU ALL GET ON ME -- I WAS NOT...

But as I am driving, the aler comes up on my dash...

Any help?
