Hey Ralph,
That’s a great idea. Every time I move to a new place (rental situation,
haven’t landed anywhere yet since getting to Texas as quick as I could) I do
the same thing. Get the app, go through what I can hit. And then I spend some
time during the morning and evening commute times listening for activity.

I was a little sad to see the quick responses from people offering a volume of
encyclopedias as their answer to his specific question.

Subject: [BVARC] Repeaters in Houston

I saw the question about what repeaters have the most activity and then a lot
of responses telling where to get a list of ALL repeaters

To answer the question that was asked …… I typically see more traffic on
146.92, 146.94, 147.00, 145.17, and 444.300

Once a year or when I change antennas, I take the complete list of local
repeaters and see what I can hit from home. I program those into my radio

Good luck and have fun
