I listen to the stir crazy most days (cant always check in) and the script was changed over a year ago. It may be that some of the net control stations use a recorded preamble, or are using an older version. I know that i consistently hear the preamble NOT mention “the ill effects of cabin fever” from several of the net controls.
Also, most people arent staring at a countdown clock while they are barreling down the beltway, I know Im not. I see nothing wrong with someone going long letting it drop.
