We've looked into it. With Netzero's "free" service, you get 10 hours
per month. Once you have used up those hours, you cannot get online
again until the next month (so, surf 5 hours on December 1, 5 hours on
December 2, cannot surf again until January 1). Also, Netzero is
"Available only for Windows" -- so it is not compatible with the Linux
operating system we install on our graduate computers for children. And
finally, when you sign up, you agree that you will be sent a ton o' spam
-- and it's a part of their "service" so you are stuck with it.
None of the low-cost dial-up options we have looked at are a reasonable
alternative to CIN.
