a labeled like so:

1-winxp.2007.10.27.img
2-edubuntu.606.06.06.18.img
3-etch.2007.05.01.img

Give that a shot and test it to see if that works.  That is, after you
lay down the images on one disk, boot into each OS to make sure the
boot configuration and image work.
