If a donor requests it, we'll see to it that a hard drive is thoroughly shredded (in Debian or Ubuntu, sudo shred -v -n 4 /dev/sda). If it isn't requested, the most they get is a quick size/wipe. I'll see to it that your external hard drive gets shredded before we re-use it. Look forward to seeing you online, and in the shop when you have the time (this summer, I think you said?). Theresa
