Just an echo on this being a timely warning, and an article worth looking at. I've seen machines going in for repair with variations on this malware for a while, including one this morning. A good point the article and comments make is that this kind of malware gets around mostly on the strength of social engineering. You have to have a sense of who you trust on the internet no matter what operating system you're running. (It was amusing though that the version of the Windows malware that the author found wasn't Vista compatible.)
