Hi All, I am working on a mesh wifi project on Cherokee St. called WasabiNet, and we are just about to get a microgrant to deploy service to a few dozen people in that area (fingers crossed). More info at http://gowasabi.net
I had hoped to drop in by surprise during the CWELUG meeting this afternoon, but ended up not being able. Would folks at Bworks be interested in a demo of WasabiNet mesh service sometime over the next few weeks? If you let me borrow a wired Internet connection I can bring equipment to demonstrate... 1. Mesh routers (called 'nodes') as wifi repeaters 2. Add a router to the mesh 3. Range demonstration, hopefully can get a battery-powered node working in Thurman Grille patio 4. VoIP/Skype prioritization 5. Demonstration of captive portal On Sat, Jul 11, 2009 at 4:52 PM, Theresa Kehoe<[email protected]> wrote: > > > Hey all, > > We're going to have a "Farewell To Robert" party next Saturday, at > 2:00pm.
