While this would be great, I don't see it being too useful since

I figured cygwin should work like any other autoconf platform. Why am

Myself, I maintain config_win32.h files that predefine the autoconf
test
results so that the code doesn't know the difference.
I'd be happy to learn there's actually a clean way to use autotools on
Windows though...
I'm hope we can all come up with a good answer together. I left some
hooks in xerces_hdr_config.h for platform specific inclusion of non-
autoconf headers as necessary. These may or may not prove to be
sufficient for the task.
