I have finished the work on having prettier make output. Now, only the
compilation of the conditional parts is 'not pretty' (and can be left as a
future exercise ;).
The main reason for having 'pretty' output of make was to see warnings during
compilation, which would otherwise disappear in lots of featureless messages. I
believe, this goal has been reached now :)
