I have been searching for the same thing and sadly it seems there are not a
great number of these types of test suites. I did find some test suites for
the old DTD-based XML processing tools, but that is obsolete! I also
stumbled across the same W3C suite as what you found, but it ended up not
meeting my needs.

Please let me know if you fare better than I did. I suspect that you will
because you seem to be better informed about XML than I am.

Good luck,
Matt

P.S.: Sorry in advance for rambling about my XML ineptitude.

Subject: Searching for XSD test suite to use with Xerces

Hi,

Does anyone know the whereabouts/existence of a suitable suite of XSD
schemas to use with Xerces to test the structural components of XSD such
as simpleType, complexType, group(s), particle(s), etc.? I need to test
not the validity of Xerces (which obviously works and has been tested),
but rather the validity of my software against schemas that are
structurally complex and may pose unforeseen subtle problems while
processed. Ideally the schemas only test complex structural
relationships, not data per say.

I have located the W3C XSD Test Suite (xsts-2002-01-16.tar.gz) with some
23,000 files and it has sections for structural tests only under the
'msxsdtest' directory. So it's hard to tell if they are suitable tests
for Xerces or for complex structural relationships.

Are they suitable tests for my purpose, or do I need to use some other
test suite?

Many thanks for any help here.
