Key: XERCESC-1577
URL: http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/XERCESC-1577
Project: Xerces-C++
Type: Bug
Components: Build
Environment: XML Toolkit for Zos ( IBM Toolkit )
Reporter: Makarand M Kulkarni
Hi,
As suggested in below mentioned mail , I am following steps required for
Installing XML toolkit for Zos ( IBM Toolkit ).
Getting some error in SMP/E RECEIVE STEP.
Could anybody please suggest me any way to resolve this problem ?
Process followed as per README given IBM toolkit
1. Unpax STEP : FTP pax file to Zos and Unpaxing it
2. GIMUNZIP Step : Runs the SMP/E GIMUNZIP service routine to extract the
FMIDs *
from the download package archive files.
3. SMP/E RECEIVE Step: ( Getting Error in this step )
Runs SMP/E to receive the FMIDs from the data sets extracted *
during the GIMUNZIP step.
Here while doing SMP/E RECEIVE STEP, I am getting some following errors after
running JCL.
"GIM38901I RECEIVE PROCESSING FAILED FOR SYSMOD HXML160 BECAUSE IT HAS NO
APPLICABLE ++VER MCS.
GIM39001E ** SYSMOD HXML160 WAS NOT RECEIVED EVEN THOUGH IT WAS SPECIFIED ON

As I understand this you shouldn't try to build library from sources
because XML Toolkit for z/OS contains all binaries needed. So
sources from Apache can be omitted.

The V1.8 download package contains V1.6, V1.7, and V1.8 installations.

Some useful info:
- V1.8 Program Directory (contains installation information)
http://www-03.ibm.com/servers/eserver/zseries/software/xml/pdf/xmlpd1_8.pdf
- V1.8 XML Toolkit for z/OS User's Guide
http://www-03.ibm.com/servers/eserver/zseries/software/xml/pdf/ug_v1r8.pdf
Hope this helps.
Good luck !
