Hello,
I'm a happy user of xerces-c 2.7.0 on a Linux FC5.
Because of http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/XERCESC-1512 I tried my luck using the svn trunk. I'm
trying to use the RPM spec file and build an RPM. My questions may be FAQs, but
I could not find any relevant links or docs. So:
- I understand that runConfigure is dead. Am I right? In
this case, are there any updated build instructions?
- The RPM spec still contains a Version of 2.6.0. I also do
not know what the source for the value 3 in the Revision is. I suggest
having the snapshots numbers burnt into the revision number.
- Guessing my way out, I changed the %build section to
do:
- cd $XERCESROOT
- ./configure
- make
- Pushing my luck, I reached the %install section. But the
"cd …../../rpm/BUILD/xerces-c-src_2_7_0/src/xercesc" and
"make PREFIX=/var/tmp/xerces-c-root/usr install" failed, with
"No rule to make target 'install'.
- Trying to do make install from the BUILD/xerces-c-src_2_7_0
failed – it looks like the PREFIX is not passed to install-sh .
Any ideas? Docs?
Info?
10x a bunch,
