Cannot build on Mac OS X 10.7
-----------------------------
Key: XERCESC-1971
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/XERCESC-1971
Project: Xerces-C++
Issue Type: Bug
Components: Build
Affects Versions: 2.8.0
Environment: Mac OSX 10.7 (Lion). Must be built in 64-bit mode to be
binary-compatible with standard Lion builds.
Reporter: Nathaniel Tagg
This has been seen before, for example:
http://web.archiveorange.com/archive/v/3yUylsC2yFLq8CqyP0Ml
The code will not build, failing in several places. I do not require Mac OSX
specific tools; I'd be very happy with just POSIX-compliant libraries, if such
a build option were possible.
Although one can download a 32-bit binary, it will not compile against standard
64-bit binaries in other code. I'm compiling a large number of other libraries
against XercesC, and cannot modify the build systems to build on 32-bit mode.
