C/C++ Project Build Platforms The Apache Xalan-C XSLT project is preparing for a release.
The project uses the Apache Xerces-C XML parser library. I offer my assistance to Xerces-C for building binary packages for the current set of Unix/Linux platforms. Where the distributed Xerces-C library uses old compilers, I would also like to help prepare Xerces-C binary distributions to use the current Unix/Linux based software development platforms. This will ensure that the Xalan-C project deployment is usable by the general community. I will be asking Apache Infrastructure about which hosts are appropriate for building C/C++ library packages in preparation of staging a product release. I could also use some assitance regarding which automated build tools should be chosen to orchestrate the builds. I already have tools to build on Windows platforms (VC6, VC7.1, VC8, VC9, VC10) and some Linux/GCC platforms. I do not have tools for other platforms - this is where I need Infrastructure hosting guidance. I would like to support: AIX SOLARIS (x86, sparc) HPUX (on intel and risc) MAC-OSX WINDOWS (VC7.1, VC8, VC9, VC10) Sincerely, Steven J. Hathaway Xalan Documentation Project P.S. I have already successfully performed Windows and Linux builds from the current SVN for Xerces-C. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: [email protected] For additional commands, e-mail: [email protected]
