SOME GOOD BOOKS
Kernighan & Ritchie (1988)
"The C Programming Language" by Brian W. Kernighan and Dennis M.Ritchie.
C How to Program by Harvey Deitel
Andrew Koenig's book 'Accelerated C++'
+ Kernighan and Pike. "The Practice of Programming", 1999.
  + Stroustrup, Bjarne. "The C++ Programming Language", 1997.
  + Knuth, Donald. "The Art of Computer Programming" (3 vols)

Stroustroup for C++( Suggested By [email protected])
C++ ( Consolidated version ) : - Lippman.
                    [Suggested by  [email protected]]

==============================================================================

1. Turbo C version 3.0 (Robert Lafore..... SAMS){for beginners and
intermediate users but has less excercises and less examples.}
2. Let Us C (Yashwant Kanitkar){for beginners to intermediate and
above...contains many examples and many good excercises}
3. The C Bible(SAMS publication) {Complete reference to C/C++ but not
for
beginners}
4. A complete Reference to C/C++(Herbert Shildt){Its a good book to
refer
to with good explanation}
5. Programming in C/C++ (McGraw Hill publications) {It has really
good
excercises but its a bit difficult for novice}
6. Data Structures(Shaum Series) {A complete reference to data
structures}
7. Pointers in C(Mc Graw Hill) {It will help in clearing the most
difficult
aspect of C/C++.......pointers}

[ Suggested by:DrEaMz_UnLiMiTeD  . He suggested that a C++ programmer
should have all the seven books ]

===============================================================================

Sites for online test
www.brainbench.com
www.test24hour.com [ Both sites suggested by : DrEaMz_UnLiMiTeD  ]
His comments about these sites:  theses test are really hard and are
only for those ppl who have done quite a lot of programming.

All of them highly recommended.

NOTE: i am again repeating that i have not visited all these site and have not
seen all these books and so can not say anything about their usefullness . if u
any other good site or book , do inform me so that i can add them here . if u
find any of the above listed site useless do inform me so that i can remove
them from here .

VIEWS OF ALIBAGCITY WRITTEN IN THE MESSAGE DATED

 Subject: Re: RE: Kool book

If you are not confident you can start with Yashwant Kanetkar -
"Let us C" and "Let us C++." (Let us C++ is much better than C)
Both are useless for professional programming.

The Best books I have ever used on C programming are:

(1) C Programming - A modern approach by K. N. King
See
http://knking.com/books/c/
for more details.

(2) C How to Program, 2/e
Harvey M. Deitel, Nova University and Deitel Associates
Paul J. Deitel, Deitel Associates

see
http://www.prenticehall.ca/allbooks/esm_0132261197.html
for more details

For C++

(1) You may download "Thinking in C++" by Bruce Eckel

You may get it at:

http://www.planetpdf.com/mainpage.asp?WebPageID=315

Download both volumes

(2) Again C++ How to Program THIRD Edition
by Deitel & Deitel

Second edition is also good but in Third edition Modeling using The
Unified Modeling Language(UML)
is also discussed.

For Online Resources You are always welcome to visit my site:
http://www.geocities.com/alibagcity/cpp/cpp.html

It is more than enough for Mastering C and C++.
