Semantically, there is no difference. However, I tend to avoid anonymous structures because of how some IDEs display them. In Visual Studio 6 (maybe in .Net 2005 as well), the intellisense gives a random name to the structure in the class view. If you get your hands on the Quake 1 source, and open it up in VS6 you will see how unpleasant such anonymous structures can be. Because I tended to avoid anonymous structures because of this, I am not sure if this still occurs in .Net. Most likely, it will.
