Well, knowing how to ask the right questions is the first step to getting the right answers. It's best to provide as much information as possible, what are you trying to accomplish, what other solutions you have attempted, etc. Otherwise, we end up trying to figure out what it is you are trying to do and stumbling around before we get to the heart of the problem. In your case, the problem wasn't how to run C source code dynamically, your problem was getting data from one program into another program. So a good question would have been "I have some data generated dynamically by a Python program and I need to take that data and assign to variables in a C program. How can I do this?" A very good FAQ on how to ask questions in programming forums or mailing lists: http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html -- Brett ------------------------------------------------------------ "In the rhythm of music a secret is hidden; If I were to divulge it, it would overturn the world." -- Jelaleddin Rumi
