Hi,
   sorry!!cudnt reply earlier..i tried the program on TC and on
gcc..TC behaved as i had described in my previous mail.while gcc gave
me a segmentation fault..So was wondering bout this behaviour.now i
know y.thank u all for letting me know the reason..
