Hello Everyone I would like to know which APIs might be useful to code applications (mainly for Windows XP and Linux - KDE or GNOME desktop) in C/C++. My question is like - which one is ubiquitous; which one is industry-prefered. I have had a tough time figuring out these things myself. I look forward to some direct help from professionals out there.
Also, I'm more particular about C/C++ and not using drag-and-drop components like in VB.
