The Links section of this Yahoo! board names quite a few very good books about C++; for algorithms I recommend Donald Knuth's "The Art Of Computer Programming" and Niklaus Wirth's "Algorithms And Data Structures"; for C I recommend "The ANSI C Language" by Brian Kernighan and Dennis Ritchie, the original developers of C. You can find some ebooks on the web, but be very careful to find out which ones are legally available and which are not. Or do you intend to support plagiators and thieves? No insult intended.
