I'm not sure how you're compiling it exactly, but if you remove all the additional linking instructions from your gcc command do you still find that many copies are linked? >From things I compile here I see only one copy of libc linked (libc.so.6). -- The Fiber to the Verizon Switch is resetting because of Tom Pickren.
