You may also, after determining what specific scenarios will invoke
the bug, try to handle the scenario in your code directly (like say a
certain range of numbers are entered by the user) before it gets to
the library, at least as a interim measure, until the bug is fixed
upstream by the vendor. Posting an error saying "unsupported data" to
the user is surely less annoying than the application crashing
entirely without explanation.
You should definitely open a support ticket with the vendor and get
them to fix it.
