Keep in mind, though, that the SGI STL is not the same STL that is now
part of the C++ standard library (although the C++ STL is based on
SGI's) ... more importatly, the SGI STL is implemented entirely in
headers whereas C++ compiler vendors may implement the STL as a
linkable library.
