Hello all, Ok, so I have downloaded a draft and begun going through it (over 600 pages -- sheesh, that's going to take a while) :o)
In any case, it got me to thinking; If there is a standard, in what instance is it desirable to write in manner that is not standard compliant? Obviously there are books out there that teach non-compliant methods, I guess I am wondering why that is? What sort of language-specific madness was going on with this language before the standard was in place? Do all of the 'major' languages have standards? If anyone would care to explain/elaborate on any one of these three questions, I would be very interested to hear what their thoughts were... Nim
