  Hopefully you actually purchased the book for your Data Structures 
  class. I recommend you look in there. I still have mine from years ago 
  and it clearly lays out multiple strategies for storing multidimensional 
  arrays in memory.

  Hint: there is more than one way to store these in memory, and each 
  strategy has benefits and drawbacks especially with paged memory 
  architectures. That will probably be next week's assignment though.
