For beginners, using <...> instead of "..." for one's own header files is a common error. In practice one also needs to let the compiler know where the headers are, but I omitted this too. For beginners the best thing is to put all your *.c and *.h files in the same project directory and run the compiler from there. There's less chance of unintelligible error messages.
