when reading characters from a file & printing them to screen as Hex as a test programme, my programme keeps mis-interpreting the sequence "0x77" followed by "0x1A" as an EOF. I've confirmed this with multiple data binary files and tele results of my programme with http://mark0.net/hexdump.html I am performing getc() or fscanf() into a signed/unsigned character.
