"Because there are some times when it is needed." Yes you are right. And thats what I am looking for. There is everday usage of multithreading in sockets, driver implementation, web transactions. But there is 'some' common reason between them, I just want to identify that.
Well I am not persuading others on not to use multithreading, its the other way round. I need myself to be persuaded, to use multithreading. Thats why I started the discussion to figure out a satisfying reason, and I am still not convinced. Just that if ABC-programmer is using multithreading for drivers don't convinces me to use threads when I sit down to write a driver. I just can't be sceptical.
