Problem: 2.8.0 fails to compile. runConfiure appears to have worked correctly.
Contents of config.log are attached. The following line printed at the end of
runConfigure appears to be in error, " If the result of the above commands look
OK to you, go to the directory
/net/whistler/auto/users/tovrea/XERCES_C/src/xercesc and type "make" (or "gmake") to
make the XERCES-C system.", since there is no such directory. The actual directory seems to be
/net/whistler/auto/users/tovrea/XERCES_C/xerces-c-src_2_8_0/src/xercesc.

This should be /net/whistler/auto/users/tovrea/XERCES_C/xerces-c-src_2_8_0.
